Fund Terms and Operations:

RopeLab will administer the day-to-day operations of the fund. RopeLab will create an application form online for applicants to apply and solicit donations.  100% of all donations actually received by the fund shall be distributed as scholarships as outlined below.  However, if RopeLab is charged fees in connection with the collection of the donation such as PayPal fees or wire transfer fees, those may be deducted or reimbursed.

Award cycles will be event-based and determined as funds are available.

Applications will include references.  Applicants will be vetted.  Vetting efforts will be conducted as the scholarship board sees fit and any board member may conduct their own independent investigation. An applicant may be disqualified for egregious or unethical conduct, such as a consent violation or assault that is verifiable with a high degree of reliability, known character and ethical concerns, or any other reason that would clearly eliminate their ability to win a scholarship at the discretion of the board. The board will then review the remaining applications and the board will then vote on the winners.

Criteria and Process:  Scholarship award considerations will include need,  community involvement and stewardship, character, and other miscellaneous considerations as deemed relevant by the board members. The Board may create more detailed scholarship criteria or processes at its discretion so long as it does not materially conflict with the letter and spirit of the terms as described herein. The number of winners is not-pre determined. The amount of money awarded may more or be less than that requested in an application by any particular applicant but the total amount cannot be more than the amount available. Applicants may be individuals, couples, or small groups,
